The eco-friendly Hillside Lodge is idyllically nestled in the Lao countryside, based on ecologically and socially sustainable principles. It's a nature retreat only 12 km from Luang Prabang, surrounded by protected area with primary forest, and yet escaping the city's hustle and bustle. Hillside is a family run and therefor family-friendly place offering authentic bungalows with a twist of style for only 20 guests. Set amidst a lush tropical garden, it's a heaven for a variety of beautiful butterflies.

Hillside offers, and that's unique in South East Asia, a variety of self-guided treks. On the day of arrival we will hand over a hiking map, which allows you easily to explore ethnic villages, waterfalls, rice paddies, viewpoints and traditional farmlands.
Or you may prefer relax by the pool, read a book, savour our own organically grown food and pamper yourself with a steam bath and a massage while indulging in nature's beauty with astonishing views on forested mountain ranges.
